Whenever the gentle and soft-spoken Kano State APC Chieftain, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura popularly known as A. A. Zaura glanced at the teeming youths and people of Kano that come around him all the time, he would easily inform them to be more proactive with sense of reasoning towards the current dispensation we are in. For Mr. Zaura, year 2023 is not just a political year as usual, but a good time for self-reflection and determination.
He always task the youth to shun the usual way of contributing to politics by hooliganism, and imbibe the more honourable way of joining hands together in working out modalities for the future of our immediate constituencies. These, and many other reasons qualify A. A. Zaura to become an intellectual politician among his peers.
As it is now, the Charismatic Zaura will enjoy not one but so many significant advantages over all other contestants as the race to the 2023 general election is fast approaching.
In all ramifications, the Kano State young politician has already set a pace in the affairs of the ruling party in the state with constructive facts. Notable among them is his unique way of coming into the race in the quest to succeed Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje. This, according to some pundits, if the pen alone could determine victory for any of the aspirants, A. A. Zaura stands a tall chance to defeat the big wigs on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and also the major opposition parties.
Also, the Kano APC bigwig – Zaura has demonstrated the capacity to lead without any bias or nepotism – judging from the style he has adopted since coming into the ruling APC.
One peculiar quality in his style of politics, which Kano State will really need as a tonic to heal it’s wounds, has been the ability to relate with all age groups, gender and the society as a whole, without any hesitation.
If this happens, Kano State can witness another long but a field commando or captain we all yearn for, and put aside all the secessions and secessionist to die a natural death.
His Excellency Alhaji Zaura is also certain to enjoy the advantage of being a youth, which fits him into the clamour that the older generation should give way to the youths to handle the affairs of our communities and states. Zaura is also perceived to have a strong advantage over all contestants.

Some political observers, who professed love for Zaura’s style, prayed that: “May Kano State not fall into the hands of another person, whose quality and understanding of preference are below that of Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkareem Zaura.
Zaura is undoubtedly the only contestant who always remain resolute in his ambition in spite of all political youthfulness on the basis of the state’s cultural agenda.
