NASA the most veritable platform for interaction between armed forces, civilians – Buni

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has described the Nigerian Army Social Activities (NASA) as an avenue for bringing the Civilians and the Armed forces together to have fun and appreciate each other’s contribution towards Nation building.

He made this known Saturday (22nd/01/2022) while addressing people during the end of 2021 Nigerian Army Social Activities which took place at August 27th Stadium Damaturu.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Baba Mallam Wali, Governor Mai Mala Buni said the State Government would continue to be supportive to the security agencies for lasting peace to be achieved.

“It is worthy to note and appreciate the efforts of the Nigerian Army and other security Operatives in the restoration of peace in Yobe State and Northeast sub-region at large”, Governor Buni pointed.

Earlier in his address, the organizer of the event and Commander Sector 2 Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai, Brigadier General AG Nura, represented by the Chief of Staff, Sector 2 Operation Hadin Kai, Brigadier General Imaobong Akpaumontia said the event is aimed at straightening social relationship between Officers, Solders, their Families, the Civil Societies as well as Friends through Cultural displays, musical performances and other regimental activities.

“This event was conceived to create an atmosphere where Officers and men meet together outside the tranches of operations to wine, dine and make fun”, said the Sector 2 Commander.

He urged the troops not to relent in their efforts until Yobe State and the entire Northeast is rid out of any security challenge.

The event featured Social Activities such as cultural dances and displays,Tug of war, Comedies among others.
