APC org sec expresses deep sadness over death of Sheikh Modibbo Dahiru Aliyu
The Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of renowned Islamic scholar, Sheikh Modibbo Dahiru Aliyu Ganye.
In a condolence message he made available to newsmen on Saturday, Ribadu described the death of the revered cleric as a monumental loss, not only to Ganye Chiefdom and Adamawa State, but also to the wider Muslim community across Nigeria.

He noted that Sheikh Modibbo Dahiru Aliyu was a man of profound knowledge, character and guidance whose teachings touched generations of students and followers.
“The death of Sheikh Modibbo Dahiru Aliyu Ganye has created a huge cleavage that will be difficult to fill. His upright posture, moral precepts, and lifelong dedication to Islamic scholarship and societal values will continue to reverberate through history,” he said.
Ribadu recalled the late cleric’s immense contributions to the spiritual and moral development of his people, describing him as a beacon of wisdom, moderation, and guidance.
He stressed that Sheikh Dahiru Aliyu’s success in transforming lives is evident in the countless students he mentored, many of whom have continued to spread his teachings and uphold the virtues he instilled in them.
The APC Organizing Secretary extended heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased, his associates, the Muslim Ummah, and the entire people of Ganye Chiefdom. He urged them to find solace in the remarkable life of service and devotion that the late scholar lived.
“On behalf of my family and political associates, I condole with Gangwari Ganye, the Muslim Ummah, and indeed all who were touched by the exemplary life of Sheikh Modibbo Dahiru Aliyu. May Allah, in His infinite mercy, forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus, and give the family and followers the strength to bear this irreplaceable loss,” he added.
