A Response to TG News online publication

By Binani Campaign Council

Our attention has been drawn to TGNews online publication. The online tabloid had unleashed some political rantings on the perceived chances and rating of candidates in Adamawa state. In it, he unintelligently opined that Distinguished Senator Aishatu Ahmed Binani our Governorship candidate has condensed from APC iron lady to mere NDC Lady, a dubious euphemism for, “falling from Grace to Grass”.

As you rightly pointed out Senator Binani was a shining star and gold fish in the Savannah but multiple forces had shamelessly converged to stultify her wonderful efforts and frustrated her presumptive movement into the Government House. While we appreciate this admission or confession of Binani’s political sagacity and formidable power, we are at loss as to how an otherwise respected Journalist will collapse to the abyss of degenerative thinking by suggesting that Binani was now “politically fading out”.

We should not have to worry about reacting to such trivial insinuations but, we have to, in order to save responsible people from being discouraged or misled by vindictive idle talk. Let it be known that changing a political party does not diminish a person’s political image except if it has been concluded that only certain parties would continue to force themselves on the people.

The biggest tragedy is for the media to be recruited into offering themselves as willing tools in the grand plot to short change and disenfranchise the Adamawa electorate.
Binani is already a household name in Adamawa State, not only for the good reason of her colossal and indefatigable fighting spirit, but also for attaining the unassailable task of winning the previous governorship race, although it was brazenly denied by a shameless national conspiracy.

In spite of the unforgettable stain on our image, Senator Binani is still graciously offering herself for the sake of our beloved and teeming population who have continued to stand with us in the onerous task of giving them a better leadership.

It was very obvious that some journalists played a very vexatious, insidious and narcissistic role in the last political debacle affecting Senator Binani, as they trampled on their independence and professionalism to shamefully collapse into tribal and religious war lords.

Such despicable attitude should not continue to suffice in the modern Adamawa State that we are struggling to build. Our people direly need social and economic emancipation and not the dubious and primitive quests for self enrichment and raw power.

We call on responsible Journalism and not illogical, bankrupt and infantle practitioners who are pursuing only divisive tendencies to distract our people. Enough of this outdated model of political opposition.

TG News and his cohorts should know that the foremost American President, Abraham Lincoln, contested 11 times and lost 5 times in the USA. These circumstances were based on changing Dynamics, that can be subjective to material and political narration.

Today in Adamawa if you take away political premodialities who among the Candidates can beat Distinguished Senator Aishatu Ahmed Binani. Indeed if experience is to count and knowledge of the political theatre of Adamawa takes preeminence, we say without any equivocation that Senator Aishatu Ahmed Binani has a wonderful chance to emerge as the Governor, God willing.

Our campaign council strongly believes TG News is dancing under the influence of some smokescreen of delusion for lack of political engineering. We think the campaign organization and the good people of Adamawa state should dismiss this analysis in its entirety.
