A gubernatorial hopeful seeking to lead Adamawa State under the banner of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Abdullahi Musa has urged president Muhammadu Buhari to reconsider his stance in respect of the electoral bill.
The president has declined assent to the bill which was sent to him since November 19, 2021 on the grounds that it has some negative repercussions on the polity.
He urged President Buhari to reconsider his stands in the interest of the Nigerian people particularly when the bill was an executive bill sent by himself to the National Assembly.
Alhaji Musa said, “President Buhari is once a beneficiary of the direct primary, and urged him not to heed to those who want to destroy “our hard fought democracy and act in the interest of the Nigerian people.”
The APC governorship Aspirant who was in Yola, the state capital to present his campaign manual brief to APC stakeholders told journalists that Mr President has done so well and can not afford not to sign the Bill” .
Describing the non assent as a threat to democracy in Nigeria and something urgent needs to be done to safe democracy
Alhaji Musa whose campaign manual brief is based on three cardinal points said he will run Adamawa as a capitalist state from zero allocation from federation account to a robust revenue generating state.
“I will used the Yola international airport to became an economic hub and global mine for the state by leveraging on leasing up to three aircrafts (737) boating which a capacity of 148 passengers and a return of over N5m per flight with just about N650m to be invested in the sector”.
Speaker, as he is foundling called discribed the Yola international airport as the only airport in the north that has four flight in and out daily, According to him ” properly manage and we’ll maintained the state will generate a lot of money”
“Beside, there will be job creation in the aviation sector for our young graduates and youth development through adequate education plans and policies that will encourage training Ang re training of our professionals in all sector as education is the bedrock for any development, he stressed.
The APC governorship Aspirant believes that youths and gender equality is an integral part of mandate brief as his deputy will be a female in her 30s with smart ideas and will allocate 40% position to youths
He advised party Members in the country to always work hand in hand for the growth of APC and for the victory of the party come 2023.
