Adamawa state governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas has Thursday donated 36 bags of rice and over N1 million to the executive council of the APC at the party’s state secretariat in Yola.
Namdas who was represented by Muhammed Abdu Mayas said the gesture is a sign of his loyalty to the newly elected executive council under the leadership of Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal. He said it is equally important to support the party officials in this yuletide season especially in this period of the economic hardship the nation is going through.
“We are happy that the party has come out to receive this gift from us. It is a sign of our loyalty to the party and support to the executive team and other members in this yuletide season,” he said.
Mayas added that he is confident that the party executives are strongly behind the candidature of Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas and is sure that gestures like this one will further solidify that support and mutual respect and understanding between the party exco and the aspirant.
“I can assure you without mincing words that the party is strongly behind Namdas. He is so far the only aspirant that has identified with the party and has taken time to ensure that those who lost elections at the congresses remain loyal to the newly elected Executive of the party. That is the spirit and qualities of a leader. He will continue to receive such support from the party and I’m sure this will be translated into votes at the party primaries,” he added.
While receiving the gift on behalf of the party exco, the state publicity secretary, Abdullahi Muhammed said they are grateful to Namdas for reaching out to them at this crucial time of festivities.
Abdullahi said that the gesture is a sign of Namdas’ loyalty and support to the party. “We are happy that these food items and money are coming from one of our own who has been representing us positively. I want to also commend the lawmaker for selecting a good team to represent him. They are men of reputable characters that will deliver whatever responsibility is given to them. We pray and assure Namdas that the party will continue to support him in all his endeavors.”
Hajiya Halima Hayatu who addressed women and youths at the party secretariat on behalf of Namdas urged them to support the aspiration of Hon. Namdas, noting that he is the only aspirant that can guarantee that youths and women are well presented and benefit from whatever is due to them.
“Hon. Namdas has asked me to give you the sum of N200, 000 for the Christmas celebration so that you can buy something for your families. He also asked me to assure you that he will come and have a meeting with you very soon on his plans and aspirations for both women and youths in the state. I urge you to continue to give him the maximum support and ensure that he gets the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress,” she said.
Representatives of the women and youths groups all appreciated Namdas for having them in mind despite busy schedules. They also assured him of their continuous support and promised to work towards ensuring he becomes the governor of Adamawa state come 2023.
