A leading aspirant for the position of the deputy national chairman north of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), senator Abubakar Girei have promised to bring his wealth of experience to reposition the party if elected.
During its regular meeting on March 8, 2022, the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of APC has approved the recommendations of the Committee on Zoning with the position of deputy national chairman zoned to the north east.
In a chat with our reporter, the APC chieftain expressed confidence that the ruling party will overcome its internal challenges and consolidate on the successes so far attained.
He thanked president Muhammadu Buhari for the enabling environment he provided and for serving the country well urging Nigerians to remain steadfast and committed to the Nigerian project despite the glaring challenges facing the country.
Girei who expressed optimism that his party will overcome all the internal challenges facing it noted that a big party like the APC will naturally encounter hiccups here and there adding that with sincerity, commitment and dedication all the challenges will be nipped in the bud.
