Adamawa CP assures residents of water tight security @ Eid-el Fitr

~ Makes massive deployment of men, equipment across the state

~ Cautions officers to display high level of professionalism

Adamawa State commissioner of police, Sikiru Akande has assured the people of Adamawa State of adequate security at Eid-el Fitr sallah celebration.

A statement by DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, the spokesman of the command, on Friday, said, the commissioner of police, has emplaced adequate security measures to protect the citizens, ensure the success of all the activities lined-up for the Sallah celebration and to prevent any act capable of breaking down law and order before, during and after the celebration.

“Consequently, the CP directed Deputy Commissioner of police department of operation to coordinate and ensure all the Area Commanders, Divisional police officers, and Operational commanders to lead the Sallah celebration security operation.

“They are to also ensure high visibility and confidence building patrols around the Eid grounds, venues of the celebrations, residential areas and other places of public resort to prevent any infiltration by hostile elements.

“The CP congratulated His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the executive governor of Adamawa state and the entire people of the State on the occasion of the Sallah celebration.

“The CP called on citizens to go about the celebrations in the most peaceful and law abiding manner and report any suspicious person(s) around their neighborhoods to the nearest Police or these Emergency numbers; 08089671313; 08036617428,” the statement said.
