Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe, former acting governor of Adamawa State, James Barka and the incumbent speaker of Adamawa State House of assembly, Aminu Iya Abbas were among the notable party members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) that emerged victorious in the just concluded National Assembly primaries.
Most of the aspirants that emerged victorious both at the state Assembly primary election held on Sunday and that of the National Assembly held on Monday across the 21 local government Areas expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the exercise.
Incumbent senator representing Adamawa southern Senatorial, Senator Binos Dauda Yaroe who emerged victorious after pulling 232 votes to beat Prince Peter Fwa with 55 votes out of 287 votes to represent PDP as candidate in the forthcoming 2023 said the stupendous goodwill of PDP administration in the last three years will make them win again.
Senator Yaroe in his acceptance speech noted that Adamawa South is PDP and PDP is Adamawa South noting that people on all sides of the political divide are waiting to compensate them with their votes in 2023 because of the lives they have touched at the grassroots .
While thanking the delegates for performing their civil duties and all party supporters called on them to get their voter’s cards with a view to voting for PDP candidates massively in the state and national level.
“We thank our delegates for performing their civil duties and discharging their onerous task exceptionally well.We also thank the Electoral panel for conducting a transparent,free and fair primary election”.Yaroe added.
Some Successful candidates to represent the party at the House of Representatives election include; Hon. Zakariya Dauda Nyampa for Michika/Madagali federal constituency, Hon. Mohammed Inuwa Bassi for Ganye/Jada/Toungo/Mayo-belwa.
Former Speaker and Acting Governor, Rt. Hon. James Shuaibu Barka was elected for Gombi/Hong federal constituency while Former SSG under Governor Murtala Nyako’s administration,Chief Kobis Ari Thimnu for Guyuk/Shelleng Federal Constituency among others.
State Assembly speaker, Hon. Aminu Iya Abbas was elected in the senatorial primary election to represent Adamawa Central Senatorial district.
Commenting on the primary elections ,State Organising Secretary of the party, Hon. Hamza Madagali described the exercise as just and fair.
Madagali urged the candidates in all the elections to carry those who failed to work for the victory of the party in the 2023 elections in the interest of the party.
