The organizing secretary of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu has called on all members of the party to rally round all candidates of the party to ensure the party’s total and comprehensive victory in all elections come 2023.
Ribadu who made the call when members of blackcap movement from the 21 local governments of the state paid him solidarity visit at the state secretariat of APC, Tuesday promised to ensure that all support groups in the state coalesced into one formidable group for the party’s victory in 2023.
The politician urged party members to in the spirit of oneness put behind them all differences resulting from the conduct of the party primaries and form alliances to ensure the party’s victory in 2023.
“It is natural for people to support individual aspirants because politics is a game of interest. In the build up to the presidential primaries, our party chairman, Ibrahim Bilal supported Osinbajo, while former governor Bindow supported Amaechi and Binani supported her colleague, Ahmed Lawal while Ribadu supported Tinubu.
“But regardless of our support to various aspirants in the build up to the primaries, we are now forming a strong and formidable front to ensure the victory of Tinubu who is the APC presidential flagbearer.
“In the same vein, I’m advising all of you to put the incidents of the party primaries behind and ensure that all our candidates emerged victorious come 2023.
“We are working fervently to ensure all support groups like the Bindow support group, Binani support group coalesced together to form a formidable front to ensure the victory of our party come 2023,” he said.
In their separate remarks, representatives of the blackcap movement from Song and Yola north local governments, Murtala Naibi and Firdausi Iya Dahiru urged the party to ensure justice for some of the aspirants who were shortchanged during the primaries.
“In the last election we know what happened, we need the anomalies to be redressed. We are not here to revolt against the party but peacefully want to make a case for some of the aspirants who were seriously shortchanged,” they said.
