FCE Yola reiterates commitment to partner NUJ, others on promotion of basic education


The Acting Provost, Federal College of Education, Yola, Johnson Blo Malgwa has reiterated the commitment of the institution to partner with the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) and other relevant bodies in its mission of producing effective and efficient teachers for the development of basic education in Nigeria.

Malgwa gave the assurance while congratulating Comrade Ishaka Donald Dedan on his re-election as the Chairman of the NUJ, Adamawa State Chapter.

The Acting Provost also congratulated other executive members of the NUJ on their election and re-election at the recently concluded union’s election in Yola.

Malgwa further tasked the union members to remain steadfast in their social responsibility of building public understanding of issues in a way that advances public knowledge on issues, and wished them well in the discharge of their duties.

He said, “As a teacher training institution, we are proud to associate with your union and reiterate our commitment to continued collaboration with the union towards the promotion of basic education in the country.”
