The pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Malam Nuhu Ribadu has rejoiced with the Muslim Ummah at Eid-el-Kabir Sallah celebration urging them to reflect the virtues and the spirit of sacrifice, self introspection and meditation expaused by the festivity.
Ribadu noted that more than ever, Nigerians need to be closer to their creator and exude the moral teachings of the Eid-el-Kabir which is sacrifice for the benefit of all and sundry.
“There is no better time when Nigerians need to be closer to their creator and to imbibe the moral teachings of their religion more than now.
“We need to engage in deep introspection and soberly reflect on our engagement with both man and God so as to chart a new course for the future.
“We also need to deeply reflect the teachings of the Eid-el-Kabir which is sacrifice and commit ourselves to it so that we can regain our pride as a people and as a nation.
“On this note, I call on our Muslim brothers and sisters to engage in fervent prayers for Allah to bestow us with his bountiful mercies and also bring sanity and order to our motherland,” he said.
