The gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Adamawa, Dr. Umar Ardo has today unveiled the largest campaign billboard in the state with a pledge to supplant the PDP led government come 2023.
Ardo who expressed optimism of a landslide victory, said, he will entrench a just, fair and egalitarian system in the state if elected.
He also pledged to conquer Hunger, diseases, illiteracy/ignorance, unemployment and infrastructural deficit in the state.
“In addition, our government will restore and maintain honesty, transparency and accountability in public service and end the stealing of public funds.
“We will not steal a single Kobo from state treasury and we will not allow anybody to do so. All workers’ emoluments – salaries, allowances, leave grants, pensions and all other entitlements shall be paid as and when due,” he said.
Ardo promised to refocus the direction of his government towards harnessing the reservoir of talents, skills and assets in the state to provide the citizens of the state with the basic developmental needs necessary for peace and economic growth.
He expressed optimism of a comprehensive victory as he noted that all the measurable indices of victory are in his favor calling on all and sundry to vote for the rescue team that will ensure good governance and rule of law.
Also commenting, an ardent supporter of Dr. Umar Ardo, Dauda Birma also re-echoed the message of hope enunciated by the gubernatorial hopeful saying that Ardo will not steal a dime belonging to Adamawa State.
“I have an overwhelming confidence on the character, integrity, track record and abilities of Dr. Umar Ardo. A vote for Ardo is a vote for salvation, economic recovery, rule of law and political rejuvenation. Let us not waste this opportunity to elect a cosmopolitan, honest and cerebral leader who will bail the state from our current state of quagmire and maladministration,” he said.
