Adamawa police neutralize six notorious kidnappers terrorizing Yola, environs

Six notorious kidnappers operating within Yolde Pate and Yola South axes have met their waterloo as they were neutralized by the police in conjunction with Tabbital Pulaaku vigilante operatives following an intense gun duel.

The state commissioner of police, Sikiru Akande who made revelation during a press conference at the police command Yola, on Friday urged the people to continue to cooperate with the police for optimal service delivery.

He noted that the neutralized kidnappers recently held Yolde Pate and Yola South hostage by kidnapping a number of persons including one Obinna
Oraegbunam, Mu’azu Ahmed in Shagari Phase II, Yola town, Eng. Sani Ahmed Bazza, Aisha Utman and Mustapha Mohammed.

“The 6 suspected kidnappers were neutralized as a result of the
gun duel between the kidnappers and our operatives that led to
the recovery of N 1, 080,000.00, one brand New Motorcycle, Two
AK47 Riffles, Two locally made Pistol, One Single Barrel Gun, 13
rounds of live ammunition, assorted charms/handsets,” he said.

The commissioner of police who acknowledged the gallantry and bravery of policemen and other vigilante operatives said that posterity will be kind to them for the valiant role they played in bringing peace and stability to the people.
