The gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Adamawa State, Dr. Umar Ardo has expressed shock and sadness over the fatal accident involving governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s convoy leading to the death of three persons on their way to Mubi.
Reports indicated that the accident which took place around Fadamar Rake in Hong local government claimed three people while others sustained injuries.
In a letter of condolence which he personally signed, the governatorial hopeful wished the dead eternal rest and healing for those who sustained injuries.
“I write to condole the Governor and especially the families of those accident victims who died in the convoy of Gov. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, which tragic event is reported to have taken place at Fadaman Reke.
“May Allah (SWT) forgive their sins, bless their souls and reward their good deeds. They died serving the state. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy over this calamitous experience.
“I also beseech the state government in whose service they paid the ultimate price to ensure that their dependents are adequately compensated and taken care of. This way, their deaths would not be in vain,” he said.
