2023: Adamawa electorates pledge bloc-votes for SDP guber candidate, Ardo

The people of Malabu, Wuro-bokki and Farang wards in Fufore local government area have pledged to give the Adamawa state Social Democratic Party (SDP) gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Umar Ardo bloc-votes ahead of the 2023 general polls.

Ward chairmen of the party (SDP), Kabiru Adamu of Malabu ward and Yahaya Jamtari of Farang ward gave the pledges in their separate wards weekend when the campaign train of the governorship hopeful visited the areas stressing that 2023 will be a turning point for the political history of the state will witness a seismic political change and the baton of leadership will be transferred to SDP.

They said that the people of the area have decided to vote for Dr. Ardo of SDP due to his pedigree and contributions in developing humanity and communities out of his personal volition lamenting that the two major political parties (APC & PDP) have been given opportunities for 24 years with little provision of projects with direct bearing on the populace.

“We unanimously approved and adopted the governorship candidature of Dr.Ardo on SDP platform with a view to providing dividends of democracy to our people who have yearning for positive change in our area”. The duo stressed.

In his remarks SDP chairman, Fufore local government council, Ahmadu Daware appealed to the gubernatorial hopeful to include politicians in the area to form his government and to assist in drawing the attention of Federal government to reconstruct the Jabbi-lamba/Malabu/Farang federal road for its economic viability.

Daware said on their side as electorate from the zone, they would pull their energies together to make sure voters use their voting power to push Dr. Ardo to Dougirei hill government house come 2023 so as to realize his people friendly manifesto.

Responding the SDP governorship hopeful, Dr. Ardo expressed gratitude for the reception accorded to his campaign train by the massive turnout of supporters and well wishers confessing that it was encouraging for them to surrender their personal tight schedules for the visit.

Ardo noted that previous governments in the state have done their best but more needs to be done to salvage the populace from challenges of life militating against the development of people and the society which was the reason he joined the Guber-race to contribute his quota.

Ardo urged the electorates to go and collect their permanent voter’s cards, PVCs maintaining that is the only surest way to effect the change in all political positions by voting out those failed representatives from various elective offices.

He promised to create a commission for the widows and orphans with a view to addressing insecurity caused by neglect of young stars due to broken homes, death of bread winners or abandoned by society factor as being witnessed in Boko haram insurgency, banditry, armed robbery and other societal vices.

He also said if elected as governor in 2023, his administration will focus on education, Agriculture, Water supply, security improvement, Electricity supply and stamping out corruption in governance.

Ardo who was visibly delighted with the large number of people who graced the occasions confessed that there will be light at the end of the tunnel promising not disappoint if given the mandate come 2023 elections.

He also charged the electorate to vote for candidates of SDP in all the positions stressing that the APC and PDP should be retired in politics for bringing Nigerians to untold hardships unnecessarily despite economic potentials in the country saying “a word is enough for the wise and posterity will not forgive us if we don’t affect this last chance change for the good.”
