Alhaji Uba Dan’Arewa, a Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has showered encomiums on governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri PDP led government in Adamawa State for being gracious to his party by providing a campaign venue for the planned visit of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC).
Uba said it is incursion to appreciate and thank the leadership of PDP for being magnanimous and courteous more so that the same gesture was requested in states like Edo by APC PCC but was declined because of Party differences.
According to him as Director General of Media Hausa Services of the PCC he is quite aware of the development that trended when in November 2022 they applied for the venue use of the place in preparation for the APC PCC visit.
He revealed that when they finally paid and got the nod to use Ribadu Square, PCC shifted their visit to January, Adamawa government granted the use of the place to be after the 18th of January because the venue is under renovation for the visit intended to come by President Muhammadu Buhari himself.
Dan’Arewa, therefore, called on all APC members to appreciate Finitiri for being generous enough not to cast aspersions that he denied their candidate a campaign venue.
“I’m a very objective person in my political line of thought, if a PDP state like Edo will refused a campaign venue for our PCC and my state Governor under the same PDP will give us an open opportunity and renovate the place because Mr. President is coming, I think he deserves commendation from whoever that cares.
”Don’t forget that they didn’t say no to my Gubernatorial candidate, they only told them that she should change her date from the 9th to any suitable date before or after the 18th maybe by that time the construction company must have completed their work. So then tell me what is there.
“We must learn to give to Ceaser what Ceaser’s and give God what God’s. Ahmadu has graciously shown a state of sportsmanship that deserved to be appreciated than accusing him baselessly.
”May I use this medium to appreciate him for providing the venue for President Muhammadu Buhari and the PCC team to visit Adamawa for their campaign,” Dan’Arewa said
