Ardo commiserates with families of late NUT chair, Yola chief Imam

The Adamawa state Gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Dr.Umar Ardo has condoled with the families of the late state chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers, (NUT), Comrade Rodney Nathan and Yola Chief Imam, Imam Safiyanu.

Ardo who was at the family house of Nathan in Dandu quarters, Yola South local government area on Thursday urged them to take solace in Almighty God saying “He gives and takes life at will for a purpose”.

Represented by his running mate and Deputy Governorship Candidate, Amos Sunday Yusuf, Ardo described the death of late comrade Nathan as shocking noting that his good contributions to the development of education sector speaks volume for the type of person he was.

Thereafter, Yusuf in company of the SDP state Chairman, Hon. Abubakar Yusuf and other delegation of the Ardo 2023 Guber-Campaign Council signed the condolence register praying for God to accord the departed soul eternal rest.

Responding for the family of the deceased, Elder Alfred Babale thanked the delegation for the gesture of identifying with them at their trying period.

However, the delegation led by the Deputy Governorship candidate, paid similar condolence visit to the chief Imam of Yola Central Mosque, Imam Safiyanu at his residence over the death of his mother.

Edgar told Imam Safiyanu that the delegation was there to commiserate with him and his family over the loss of his beloved mother noting that she is a mother not only to his family but the state and humanity in general.

In his reply, Imam Safiyanu expressed gratitude for the sympathy visit praying Almighty Allah to reward the delegation abundantly.
