The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate vying to represent the people of Numan, Demsa and Lamurde federal constituency in the green chambers, Hon Vrati Nzonzo has been involved in an accident and will take three weeks leave to attend to his health.
A statement signed by the candidate’s campaign office made available to this medium on Thursday noted that the house of representatives hopeful will resume activities by February 10, 2023.
“This is to specially notify the electorates of Numan, Demsa and Lamurde Federal constituency of Adamawa state, in particular and the general public that the APC Candidate for Reps Hon Vrati S. Nzonzo (DANTASHE) will be indisposed for about 3weeks (till around 10th February) due to ill health.
“The people’s candidate had accidentally fell into a culvert on the night of 11th January in Jimeta thereby sustaining multiple fractures on his right knee.
He was treated at Fortland hospital Yola for few days before proceeding to Abuja for further Medicare.
“This notice is necessary because of the frustrations displayed by the electorates due to the absence of their “member Mai jiran gado” for campaigns and many other socio-political engagements at this critical time.
“The vacuum created by the absence of Hon Vrati will be most felt when the APC Gubernatorial Campaign team visits Numan federation, this situation is heartbreaking but we are counting on God almighty to see us through this trying period.
“We hereby seek the understanding of all our support groups and individuals that are waiting for a meeting or program with the Candidate to be patient till he is physically and psychologically fit for it.
Same patience is also expected from persons he fail to call or return their calls, chats or text at this period.
“The Vrati Nzonzo Campaign organization (Amana movement 2023) will liaise with all supporters of DANTASHE to ensure that the overwhelming endorsements our candidate is enjoying across Numan, Demsa, Lamurde LGAs is maintained through active campaign programs for voter mobilization. God’s willing Hon Vrati S. Nzonzo will get the people’s mandate even if he is on the hospital bed.
“We are beseeching our well wishers to fervently pray for the quick and complete recovery of our Reps in waiting so that he can continue giving us hope during his interaction with voters till we cruise to victory come 25th February, 2023,” the statement said.
