Mbula people will support your drive for second term, Murum Mbula tells Fintiri

The first class traditional ruler of Mbula chiefdom, Murum Mbula, Bentley Biyapo has on Saturday promised to deliver the votes of his chiefdom to Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri following the commendable performance of the governor in the last three and half years in office.

The royal father revealed this when he hosted the governor at his palace in Borrong who was in the area to canvass for votes in his ward to ward campaign tour.

He said the entire community would no doubt support Governor Fintiri and give him massive votes as according to him it is the only way to pay back for what the present administration has done to the people of the area.

Murum Biyapo commended Governor Fintiri for restoring light in Borrong which hitherto developed problem for over one year, as well as upgraded the police outpost to ensure absolute security in the area.

“Your Excellency, today, our farmers go to their farms without fear of being attacked, we have been getting bumper harvest because of your support to farmers with implements and inputs,” said Murum Mbula.

He added that “Your Excellency you can see we now have a magnificent palace and this was the results of your support. We also thank you for providing a level playing during in the race for Murum Mbula.”

To this end therefore, Murum Biyapo as a mark of appreciation has bestowed the title of ‘Khandan Mbula’ meaning the Protector of Mbula on Governor Umaru Fintiri and decorated him with a traditional regalia in that regard.

Speaking earlier, Governor Umaru Fintiri told the royal father that he was in the palace to seek for royal blessings and to intimate him on the gains of his administration in the security among other sectors.

He reassured the resolve of the government to bring more development into Borrong community and asked for support of the community as he contests for second term in office in the forthcoming elections.
