Numan ward APC exco denies passing vote of no confidence on LG party chair

The Executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Numan ward 1 have distanced themselves from a purported vote of no confidence passed against Numan local government chairman of the party, Hon Ndikashe F. Marika.

They denied appending their signatures on the purported letter saying that their names and signatures were smuggled into the letter.

The ward officials led by Chairman of the ward, Pwasato Ngbale who presented a rejoinder to Journalists at the NUJ Press Centre Yola dated 7th March 2023 and addressed to the Zonal Chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) Adamawa Southern Zone revealed that, Hon. Ndikashe F. Mariko remained the substantive APC Chairman of Numan LGA and will give him the desired support to deliver Numan and Adamawa as a whole.

“We state this because we are conscious of the laid down procedure for such an action as contained in the party constitution.

“We stand bold to state that the said action is completely fraudulent and a serious act of deceit by the authors and actors. Suffice to also state that, such act is totally bereft of reason as it does not portray genuine love for the party particularly at this critical period of elections.

“Besides, its being a serious distraction, it smacks lack of genuine interest in the success of the party in the forthcoming Gubernatorial/House of Assembly elections,” they said.

They highlighted the issues raised by what they described as the so-called mischief makers “And more so, if not for for mischief, it is well known fact that Engr. Adamu Samaila had in several fora after the election of 25th February stated openly that he did not give Mr. Ndikashe N20 million.

“That he retrieved his money when he discovered that the party had been given another N20 million from PCC. And When he discovered that the PCC money was not given to him he then sent some money to him with specific directive which he did not of the PCC as candidate for the set election.”

It further noted that “let it be made clear here that to our knowledge, the party Chairman, Ndikashe Mariko had not chosen a single polling unit Agent out of the 170 PUs in Numan local government”.

Equally “None of the EXCO members of Numan ward 1 nor the stakeholders can claim ignorance or pretend not to know the long standing feud and faction created in Numan by the current House of Assembly Candidate, Hon.Mrs. Sodom Tayedi Daniel and the near breakdown of law and order during the Congresses that produced the leadership of the party both at the local government area and ward levels in Numan local government area.”

The rejoinder was already copied to the Chairman APC, Adamawa State, LG party EXCOs, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani, the Governorship Candidate of APC, her DG Ahmed Barata and Coordinator, Gubernatorial Campaign council, APC Numan local government area.
