Our reporter who went round many polling units observed low voter turn out of voters amidst heavy security presence.
Our reporter also observed that materials and staff of INEC arrived most of the polling units on time and the atmosphere was calm and peaceful.
Soldiers were also deployed at strategic locations along major roads who conduct thorough screening on motorists including checking their boots before allowing them to proceed.
The Gubernatorial candidate of APC, Sen Aishatu Dahiru Binani casted her votes at her Mbamoi polling unit 006 at exactly 8:45am.
In an interview with newsmen shortly after casting her vote, Binani expressed confidence of victory. She also give INEC a clean bill of health for organizing a peaceful orderly election.
She said with the support she is getting from president Muhammadu Buhari and Adamawa electorates, she is optimistic of coasting home to victory.
As at the time of filing this report, governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and former vice president Atiku Abubakar are yet to cast their votes.
