Strike: Nigeria may plunge into darkness as electricity employees back NLC

National Union of Electricity Employees, on Sunday, announced plans to take part in the proposed nationwide strike scheduled for Wednesday.

NUEE Acting General Secretary, Dominic Igwebike, said the leaders of the union at the national and state levels should begin to mobilise ahead of the strike.

Igwebike made the call in a statement titled: “Mobilization for Nationwide withdrawal of services.”

The statement read, “Please, note that withdrawal of services nationwide commences from 0.00 hours of Wednesday, June 7, 2023.

“You are encouraged to work with the leadership of state executive council of the Congress in your various states with a view of having a successful action.”
