Chief Iman of the mosque, Ustaz Harun Yawale during the sale of the food items called on wealthy individuals in Adamawa State to come to the aid of the common man in view of the high prices of food stuff in the market which has gone beyond the reach of the common man.

Harun said the reason behind the gesture was to mitigate the hardship people are experiencing in the state due to the high cost of living.
He said this was the first batch of the gesture to the less privileged in the state, adding that the second batch is on the way soon.

The chief Imam explained that the gesture was not restricted to muslims alone, assuring that even those who are not muslims are part of the gesture so as to have the blessing of Allah.
Commenting on the exercise, some of the beneficiaries who expressed their happiness over the gesture, prayed for the mosque committee and called on government at all levels to find a way to bring succour, to the poor.
Our reporter observed that the hundreds of people regardless of their faiths were catered for during the exercise.
