Insecurity: Adamawa traditional rulers vouch for Ribadu’s integrity, competence
~ Say he has what it takes to address social insecurity
Foremost traditional rulers in Adamawa State have vouched for the integrity and competence of Nigeria’s National Security Adviser (NSA) Malam Nuhu Ribadu saying that he has the competence, exposure, network and the wherewithal to turn back the raging social insecurity bedeviling the land.
The traditional rulers including Hama Batta, Hama Bachama and Kwandi Nunguraya in their separate remarks during a Christmas felicitation visit by representatives of the NSA said Nigeria is lucky to have someone with the pedigree, character and reputation of Ribadu to man the security architecture of the land.

The NSA was represented by the officials of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by its chairman Barr. Idris Shuaibu at the felicitation visit.
In his remark the Hama Bachama, HRM, Dr. Daniel Shagah Ismail, Kpawo Nomwe, Gilongo Diya who extolled the great leadership qualities of Ribadu said the appointment of Ribadu as NSA marks a turning point in our quest to rid the nation of social insecurity.
“I can always speak of Ribadu’s pedigree and competence as a disciplined police officer who has zero tolerance against corruption. I don’t have any iota of doubt that Ribadu will succeed in this job. I will not forget to commend the NSA for this visit. After securing office some politicians will vanish into thin air only to resurface during another round of election. But our NSA has shown that he is not from that stock.
“I want to call on you to maintain this gesture and to consolidate the spirit of unity and oneness for the good of all,” he said.
Also expressing their confidence on Ribadu during separate remarks at their palaces, Hama Bata, Homun Alhamdu Gladson Teneke and Kwandi Nunguraya, Kuruhaye Dishon Dansanda II thanked the NSA for the unparalleled gesture.
They also expressed confidence that with a no nonsense anti-graft crusader, Nigeria’s quest for lasting peace, stability and return to social order is guaranteed.
They also pledged to continue to support government programs and policies and reitrated their resolve to champion the cause of peace in their domains for the overall development of Nigeria.
In his remark, the representative of the National Security Adviser (NSA) and chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa extolled the traditional institution for its commitment towards the entrenchment of peace, unity and stability of the nation.
He pledged continuous cooperation to the revered institution in order to ensure the attainment of peace, unity and progress in the country.
“The NSA wanted to come and pay this homage to you personally but the exigencies of his office could not allow him to do so.
“He asked us to represent him and felicitate with you on the occasion of this year’s Christmas and to wish you a happy new year in advance.
“The NSA also directed us to convey his words of appreciation to you for the roles you are playing at entrenching peace, unity and understanding amongst our populace. He specifically pledged to continue to work hand in hand with the traditional institutions to achieve peace and development.
“As the bastion of sanctity and morality, the traditional institution will continue to play a significant role in the evolution of our nation and we shall accord you all the cooperation you needed” Ribadu said.
