Borno Senator Distributes 110 mini pickup vans

Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, has launched the distribution 110 mini pickups procured by Federal Lawmaker representing Northern Borno, Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno, as empowerment to boost economic activities in the region.

This initiative is in perfect alignment with the state government’s current economic strategies and the broader state development agenda.

Governor Zulum underscored the importance of an effective transportation system and praised Senator Monguno’s efforts to provide commercial vehicle’s, to constituents, noting that this is a significant boost to the state’s economic sector.

Governor Zulum then commended Senator Mohammed Tahir Monguno’s numerous interventions and empowerment projects within eight months from assuming office and called on the people of Northern Borno to support him at all times.

With relative peace now achieved in the region, the Governor reaffirmed his commitment to focusing on people-oriented projects in Northern Borno.

According to the lawmaker, who is also the chairman of the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights, and Legal Matters, Senator MT Monguno, the distribution of one hundred and ten vehicles aims to complement Governor Zulum’s efforts in reviving the economy of the state, which the governor has been doing in all nooks and crannies of the state.

He said that since assuming office as Senator, he has disbursed over four hundred million naira to nine thousand one hundred and eight constituents through various training and empowerment programs, also provided solar powered streetlights in all the ten LGAs in Northern Borno, constructed hospital in Monguno town, hostels in Federal Polytechnic Monguno, provision of Job employment to fifteen youths among others, and assured to do more.

Others who spoke at the occasion, including APC Deputy National Chairman North, Ali Bukar Dolori, State APC Chairman Bello Ayuba, and Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly Abdulkareem Lawan, all poured encomiums on the gigantic efforts of Senator Tahir Monguno, describing it as commendable and transformative.

Some of the beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the unwavering support of the governor to the region and the tireless efforts of Senator Monguno to make them self-reliant.
