Comrade Yohanna congratulates Dr. Mbaya over ascension as EYN president
Adamawa State chairman of African Democratic Congress, (ADC) who doubles as the candidate of the party for Michika-Madagali federal constituency polls in 2023 general election, Comrade Shehu Kambile Yohanna has expressed deep elation over the ascension of Dr. Daniel Mbaya as the new president of the Church of the Bretheren otherwise known as Eklissiyar Yan Uwa a Nigeria (EYN).
Mbaya was the immediate past EYN General Secretary under the Rev. Joel Billy’s leadership.
Yohanna who was recently appointed by the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri as a Senior Special Adviser on Community Mobilization and Peaceful co-existance noted that Mbaya will usher in swift reforms and changes meant to further strengthen the church in a very short time to come.
In a statement he made available to newsmen on Sunday in Yola, Yohanna said the election of Dr. Mbaya will surely bring new tidings in the church occasioned by unity of purpose, and rapid progress of the church and the gospel.

He expressed optimism that with Mbaya in the driver’s seat, the church will grow rapidly in strength for he is a man whose life is entirely dedicated to the spread of the gospel of the Lord.
Yohanna prayed God to give the new president the wisdom, patience, tenacity, health and the courage to bring positive and everlasting changes that will outlive him.
He added that the new president is a man of valour and candour who will not rest on his oars until he achieve great milestones for the church.
“I’m deeply elated with the election of Dr. Daniel Mbaya as the new president of this great church. I have no doubt in my mind that his ascension will mark the dawn of a new era.
“Mbaya is a man of valour, candour and exceptional leadership pedigree who will bring his immense dexterity and administrative prowess to bring lasting changes in the church.
“I’m very optimistic that in no time, his wealth of experience will start yielding fruits and the church shall witness renewed growth, unity of purpose and everlasting progress. I want to use this auspicious moment to wish him success in this all important job,” Yohanna said.
