New FRSC sector commander resumes duty in Adamawa
• Pays courtesy call on Fintiri, Lamido
The new Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) sector commander, Yahaya Sabo Adikwu has resumed duty in Adamawa State and immediately commenced duty with a courtesy call on governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and Lamido of Adamawa.
During the visit to governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, at government house Yola, Adikwu informed the governor that he is in the government house to introduce himself and to seek continuous cordial relationship with the Government of Adamawa State.

He further informed him on the new trends the Corps has introduced to save lives and properties of road users in the state and the country at large.
The Sector Commander intimated the governor of the Corps Marshals intention to improve the staff welfare by building a barracks in Adamawa State and presented a letter from the Corps Marshal requesting for land allocation for housing estate for FRSC staff in the state.
In his remarks, the governor promised to work and support FRSC in all its programs and activities in the state.
The sector commander during his visit to the Lamido of Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha also told the royal father that he was in the palace to introduce himself and to seek for support of the place in order to succeed in the onerous responsibility of the Corps is saving lives of road users.
The Sector Commander was received by Wakilin Alkalai Adamawa and former chief judge of Adamawa State, justice Nathan Musa.
Wakili Alkalai Adamawa thanked the sector commander for the visit and also promised to support FRSC in all its programs.
He further urged the sector commander to ensure that road users to obey the rules on the road especially on overloading to save lives and property in the state and the nation at large.
