A new epoch and momentous revolution is currently taking root in Adamawa State Poverty Allieviation And Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA) as the organization witnesses a rebirth spearheaded by its new helmsman, Dr. Micheal Zira.
The agency which is the vehicle for social re-engineering and reconstruction in Adamawa State is witnessing a rebirth as attested by a staff of the agency who said with Dr. Zira’s dynamic leadership, patriotic fervor and futuristic approach, a new dawn is fast unveiling in PAWECA whose concomitant effect will soon permeates every nook and cranny of Adamawa State.

Dr. Micheal Zira, a grass root politician, consummate professional and prolific administrator is a square hole in a square peg as he has all the prerequisite and cognate experience to discharge his new job with dexterity and remarkable aplomb.
Insider sources in PAWECA told our reporter that the appointment of Dr. Micheal Zira is the best thing to happen to the agency because since the assumption of Zira, the agency has been witnessing serious reforms which will surely translate into great milestones in the nearest future.
“With the laudable changes and reforms we are witnessing in terms of staff welfare, and the various innovations and improvement of the work environment, I’m optimistic that our agency is poised for a big deal,” a staff of the organization told our reporter.
The insider said “our new DG came with the drive, energy, enthusiasm and spiritedness to walk the talk of our amiable governor in ensuring that the people of Adamawa, especially the vulnerable population truly enjoy the social re-engineering currently being spearheaded by the state government through PAWECA.”
Re-echoing the same sentiments in a chat with our reporter, the D.G Dr. Micheal Zira noted that his major preoccupation is to reduce poverty to the barest minimum and upscale activities that will lead to wealth creation in the state in line with the vision of governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.
He noted that such audacious projection cannot be attained without carrying the staff along as such he is assiduously working to enhance the work environment and the welfare of the staff adding that very soon PAWECA ecosystem will witness rapid and epoch changes.
He also noted that in his drive to alleviate poverty and create wealth, he is vigorously working to ensure that more technical skills acquisition centers are constructed across the length and breadth of the state to compliment the existing ten centers currently in operation in order to take wealth creation to the door steps of the beneficiaries.
He said currently, PAWECA via the Fintiri wallet is planning a massive empowerment drive that will ensure the transfer of N50,000 to 35,000 vulnerable residents of the state including youth, people living with disability and widows amongst vulnerable members of the society.
“Our new drive is to ensure that every community, and every family is carried along in our resolve to drive away poverty and create wealth in Adamawa State, inline with the mantra of no one is left behind and nothing will be left untouched,” he said.
He said the last empowerment exercise in which 10,000 women received N50,000 each was a huge success as no fewer than 98 percent of the beneficiaries were covered within 24 hours of the exercise.
“Our reforms to reposition PAWECA have started yielding fruits as the last empowerment exercise of N50,000 to 10,000 was a huge success as 98 percent of the beneficiaries were reached within 24 hours. We will surely build upon this success story in our subsequent activities,” Zira said.
He attributed the success of the exercise to diligence, hard work, and the new reforms taking shape in the agency promising Adamawa people better deal in the future.
