The Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu, has expressed profound joy and satisfaction over the emergence of Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda as the new National Chairman of the ruling party.
Ribadu, in a congratulatory message issued on Thursday, described Yilwatda’s election as a moment of renewal for the APC and a clear indication that the party is ready to embrace youthful energy, drive competence, and forward-looking leadership in its internal structure.

He said the emergence of the former university lecturer and technocrat during the National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the party is both symbolic and strategic, as it comes at a time the APC needs reinvigoration, fresh thinking, and people-centered reforms to reconnect with the grassroots.
“This is a moment of great joy and optimism for us in the APC family. Professor Yilwatda’s emergence marks a new chapter for our great party.
“As someone with a rich background in academics, technology, and governance, his leadership will undoubtedly bring innovative strategies that will strengthen our party, expand our base, and reposition us for the future,” Ribadu said.
The Adamawa APC organizing secretary noted that Professor Yilwatda’s personality reflects the aspirations of many young Nigerians who are yearning for a more inclusive, responsive, and development-driven political structure.
He described the new chairman as a bridge between generations — youthful yet experienced, visionary yet grounded in the party’s values.
Ribadu also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the party for ensuring a smooth and transparent transition process, which he said reflects the APC’s commitment to internal democracy and party discipline.
“President Tinubu’s leadership has once again demonstrated that the APC is capable of renewing itself through credible and peaceful internal processes. The seamless nature of the transition speaks volumes about his vision and political maturity,” he added.
