Adamawa police command expresses deep joy over doctorate degree award on Gov Fintiri

The Adamawa State Police Command has congratulated the Executive Governor of Adamawa State, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, on his conferment with an Honorary Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) in Public Administration by the University of Port Harcourt.

In a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, PSC(+), the Command described the honour as a worthy recognition of Governor Fintiri’s visionary leadership and dedication to the advancement of public service in Nigeria.

The award was conferred on the Governor during the 35th Convocation Ceremony of the University of Port Harcourt, held on Saturday, 26th July, 2025.

According to the statement, the honour highlights Governor Fintiri’s numerous achievements in the areas of security, education, and infrastructural development efforts that have not only transformed Adamawa State but also served as a model of good governance for others to emulate.

“The Command is proud to identify with this great milestone and joins the entire people of Adamawa State in celebrating this well-deserved national recognition,” the statement said.

While rejoicing with Governor Fintiri, the Commissioner of Police offered prayers for continued wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the Governor as he continues to serve with distinction.

The police command reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the administration in maintaining peace and order, and further strengthening the synergy between the government and law enforcement for the benefit of the people of Adamawa State.
