
Kpanti Zing appoints Ribadu as global leader of Mumuye ethnic nationality
In an event steeped in history, heritage and cultural integration, the Kpanti Zing, Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim Sambo, one of the most respected first class monarchs in Taraba State has appointed the organizing secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu as the worldwide global leader of the Mumuye ethnic nationality, (Jagoran Mumuye a fadin duniya).
Representative of the Kpanti Zing, Alhaji Ibrahim Baba who doubles as the secretary of Zing traditional council announced the investiture of the title during an epoch making ceremony in Yola.
He noted that the selection of Ribadu for the unique honour mirrors his commitment to peace, cultural integration, foresight and his spirited and all encompassing leadership style which made him an astute leader and a pillar of uncommon stature.

Baba urged Ribadu to remain steadfast, resolute and continue to exhibit his outstanding leadership quality for which the Zing traditional council considered him for the most coveted title.
He said the traditional council will soon fix a date for the turbaning of Ribadu according to the traditional rights just as he used the occasion to congratulate the recipient for attracting such a landmark honour from the Zing traditional council.
The honour was preceded with a homage by over 50 amazons of the Zing traditional council on Mustapha Ribadu where they reaffirmed their loyalty to the Zing traditional council and the worldwide global leader of the Mumuye ethnic nationality.
Speaking at the occasion, leader of the women said as mothers, it is incumbent to acknowledge the wisdom of the Zing traditional council by the visit and show of solidarity to Ribadu.
Responding to the gesture, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu thanked the Zing traditional council for the recognition and gesture adding that it will spur him to serve humanity with an unquenchable thirst and milk of human kindness.
He noted that he will continue to champion the course of the Mumuye people, preserve their heritage and uphold the resilience, perseverance, humility and spiritedness with which the Mumuye people are known around the world.
Ribadu said the role of the Mumuye people in commerce, agriculture, education and history cannot be overemphasized adding that history has recorded and documented the role of the group in the neo-liberal civilization of mankind and their impactful contributions to modernity, art and culture.
He said he will ever remain grateful to become part and parcel of an ethnic nationality that has contributed significantly to peace, progress and development of Nigeria and its people.
