Adamawa United returns to winning streak, beats Kebbi United 2 – 0

Spontaneous jubilation has erupted at the Numan township stadium as Adamawa United regains its winning streak, beating visiting Kebbi United FC by two goals to nill.
The week three encounter was full of anxiety for the home team having played a goalless draw in the opening day on 2025/2026 NNL at home in Numan and a loss to Gombe United in Gombe.

The team marshalled by defence Nanuchi Daniel with support from Edward Elams, Isa Yusuf and others took the match to the half of their opponent.
Emmanuel Muna broke the deadlock in the 31st minutes of play through a goal mount struggle.
Man of the match, Edward Elams struck in the 85th minute of play to put the match beyond the reach of the visitors.
The visitors had some incursions in the eighteen yard box of Adamawa United but last man of the defence line, goalkeeper Victor was up to the task, keeping a clean sheet.
Since the return of Adamawa United FC to Numan as home ground for their matches, the team has never lost a match.
Speaking to reporters after the match, Technical Adviser of Adamawa United FC Coach Festus Mure’alewe attributed this victory to dedication and the belief that “we can.”
He thanked management coaching crew and the players for putting their best, “I believe we will carry this winning mentality to all our matches both home and away.”
Dr. Chidama Yusuf, Secretary of Adamawa United congratulated the boys and the entire team for showing commitment, “we are very happy for this victory, it has brought back the confidence in the team.
“Having draw one and lost one it is only natural for us to feel very happy and for us to carry this mentality of we can do it.”
Efforts to get the comments from the coach of Kebbi United failed as the team left immediately after the final whistle was blown.
It could be recalled that Adamawa Queens on Wednesday kick starts the 2025/2026 women professional football league with a two nil victory over Pace setters of Oyo in the same pitch in Numan.
