Girei APC stakeholders pledge highest turnout as e-registration commences
Critical stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Girei local government of Adamawa State have pledged to mobilize highest turnout of party members for registration as the electronic registration of party members commenced.
The stakeholders made the pledge on Saturday during the flagging off of the e-registration exercise by the North East national Vice chairman of the party, Comrade Mustapha Salihu.
While reiterating his commitment to ensure the comprehensive success of the exercise, a leader of the party and elder statesman, Sen Abubakar Halilu Girei said all modalities have been put in place to ensure no party member was left behind.
Girei who doubles as the vice chairman of the Adamawa Progressive Elders Council thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Mallam Nuhu Ribadu for the unique roles they are playing in stabilizing the country and putting the nation on sustainable path of socio-economic recovery.

He also thanked the North East national Vice chairman of the party, Comrade Mustapha Salihu for his commitment towards the success of the party in the state.
The party chieftain expressed happiness over the huge turnout of the party leadership in Girei local government area noting that there is no doubt that with the personalities in attendance, Girei local government belongs to APC.
He noted that the turnout also marked a turning point in the history of the party in the local government as stakeholders forged an uncommon unity of purpose towards the success of the party in the local government.
Girei used the occasion to make a solemn declaration and pledge to president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the effect that APC will win all elections in the local government come 2027 going by the renewed unity and quality followership the party enjoyed in the area.
”I’m happy to tell our leaders that today i have fulfilled my pledge of ensuring a purpose and unity driven party in the local government by convening all party stakeholders to this auspicious gathering.
”In due course we will show president Bola Ahmed Tinubu our mettle by ensuring total and comprehensive victory to our great party as a show of our appreciation to the president’s purposeful leadership. I want to also assure our leader in the state Mallam Nuhu Ribadu that Girei is for APC and with the present tempo, victory is a settled matter,” he said.
Also speaking, Dr. Salihu Bakari Girei, a gubernatorial hopeful noted that the meeting marked the beginning of a new era of hope and consolidation of the party in the local government.
Girei who also expressed optimism in the party’s promising outing in 2027 also thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the NSA for the solid foundation they are laying for Nigeria.
He particularly paid glowing tributes on Mallam Nuhu Ribadu whom he referred to as a disciplined, fair and committed leader adding that with a personality with Ribadu’s trait, the party will continue to grow from strength to strength.
He urged people who are nurturing secret ambitions to come out and expressed themselves openly adding that they should not entertain any fear since Adamawa State has a just and fair leader who promised to ensure rule of law, sanity and fair play are entrenched in the internal affairs of the party .
Girei who expressed confidence that the party will witness a seamless, free and fair primaries pledged to support anyone who emerged from such a process in the interest of the party’s victory in 2027.
Also speaking shortly after registering Sen. Girei in the party’s e-platform, Comrade Mustapha Salihu thanked the elder statesman for his efforts to galvanize and institutionalize strong party loyalty and commitment in the local government.
He noted that as the chairman of the state contact committee, he has toured all nooks and crannies of the state to sensitize members of the immense benefits of the e-registration and also the laudable projects and programs of the Ahmed Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Salihu noted that the party has provided all the resources needed for the exercise to succeed adding that along that line the party is also working round the clock to ensure the enthronement of internal party democracy ahead of the party congresses.
He thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Mallam Nuhu Ribadu for the roles they are playing in rejuvenating the economy vis a vis providing security for all.
Also speaking, the state chairman of the party, Barr. Shuaibu Idris assured all persons with aspirations to hold political offices that a free and fair environment will be provided for all in line with the dictates of the leader of the party in the state.
He called on the party stakeholders to ensure massive registration as that will accord the local government a special recognition for loyalty and dedication.
Idris noted that for one to be captured in the e-registration he must possess a national identity and a voters card urging all members of the party to take advantage of the opportunity provided to register massively.
