Group rallies APC unity in Guyuk–Shelleng, intensifies grassroots mobilisation

A political aspirant for the House of Representatives seat in Guyuk–Shelleng Constituency, Golfa Mallim, has convened a unity stakeholders’ meeting aimed at strengthening the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting brought together longstanding members of the APC and new entrants from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with a focus on harmonising strategies, fostering cooperation, and reinforcing the party’s structure across Guyuk and Shelleng Local Government Areas.

Participants described the gathering as the first of its kind in Guyuk LGA, noting that it marked a significant political turning point for the constituency and demonstrated a renewed commitment to unity within the party.
Golfa, who recently defected to the APC, reiterated her support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and pledged to mobilise grassroots support to ensure the party’s success in future elections.
As part of her mobilisation efforts, she has also led a team on a house-to-house campaign to drive the APC e-registration exercise, expanding the party’s membership base in the constituency.
She further expressed commitment to supporting the political alignment of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri with the APC, stressing that inclusiveness, unity, and collaboration would remain the guiding principles of her political engagement.
Golfa’s growing influence in the constituency has been attributed to her humanitarian efforts and community-focused projects, despite not holding any political office.
Her presence was also prominent at the grand reception of Governor Fintiri attended by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Residents of Guyuk–Shelleng have commended her accessibility and responsiveness to their needs, pledging their support for both her aspiration and the APC’s victory in the 2027 general elections.
