Ahmed Uthman Debunks alleged arrest by DSS over N460 million Katsina Hajj Forex Fraud

Ahmed Uthman Muhammad, former House of Representatives aspirant for Yola-North/Yola-South/ Girei Federal Consistency has debunked allegation against his arrest by the Department of Security Service (DSS) over N460 Million Katsina State Government Hajj Forex Fraud.

Muhammad issued this in a statement on Tuesday following false reports by some media outlets that he was reportedly arrested by a security operative over the alleged fraud.

He said he was not being arrested but rather invited by the Police for questioning regarding a personal matter which he was cleared and released on the same day.

“I was never in DSS Custody and Not under investigation but rather invited by the Police for questioning regarding a personal matter which I was cleared and released on the same day.

“I want to draw the attention of the general public to understand that the reports circulating is a false information perbricated against me because of politics and other selfish reasons aimed to destroy my career”, he said.

Muhammad said he is currently with his family and friends. Therefore, there is no cause for alerm as he is doing his normal business as usual.
