Fintiri tours APC primary centres, rallies support for Tinubu, Galadima
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri on Saturday has toured several polling centres across Jimeta and Yola during the ongoing All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primaries, where he commended residents for their massive turnout and loyalty to the ruling party.
The governor visited a number of voting centres, including Bako Primary School in Yola South Local Government Area, where he interacted with party members, electoral officials and supporters participating in the exercise.

Addressing party faithful during the inspection, Fintiri expressed appreciation to residents for what he described as their unflinching solidarity and commitment to the APC-led administration at both the state and federal levels.
He urged the electorate to sustain their support for the party, stressing that continuity in governance would guarantee the consolidation of ongoing developmental programmes and reforms initiated by his administration.
The governor, who was accompanied by the APC governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Tijjani Ahmed Galadima, called on voters in Yola and across the state to rally behind all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
Fintiri particularly appealed to residents to support Galadima, whom he described as a tested and dependable leader with the competence and integrity required to move Adamawa to greater heights.
According to the governor, the APC governorship candidate has built a reputation for transparency, discipline and effective leadership through years of public service.
“Galadima is a trustworthy and experienced leader who understands the needs of the people. I am confident he will not disappoint Adamawa citizens if given the mandate to serve,” the governor said.
Fintiri also used the occasion to defend the economic reforms introduced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, noting that the current economic hardship was not peculiar to Nigeria but part of broader global economic realities affecting many countries.
He maintained that despite initial difficulties associated with the reforms, there were already signs of recovery and improvements in critical sectors of the economy.
The governor said the Tinubu administration remained committed to repositioning the country through bold policy decisions aimed at long-term economic stability and national growth.
He further stated that Adamawa State had witnessed significant progress over the past seven years in infrastructure development, healthcare delivery, education, youth empowerment and social welfare programmes.
According to him, the achievements recorded by the APC government in the state could only be sustained through the election of APC candidates in 2027.
“A vote for APC in 2027 is a vote for continuity, stability and sustained development. The programmes and reforms we have started must be protected and expanded for the benefit of future generations,” he added.
The APC primaries across parts of Yola and Jimeta recorded heavy turnout of party members amid tight security.
