Fufore is a story of loyalty not war; residents express strong support for emirate
Sons and daughters of the newly created Fufore emirate under the aegis of Fufore Development Forum have unanimously endorsed the creation of the emirate by governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri saying that it’s creation rather than undermine the influence of the Fulbe is “an overdue recognition of the strength and leadership within Fufore, an affirmation of its historical contributions, and an opportunity for balanced traditional governance.”
Making the disclosure, at a press conference in Fufore, the spokesman of the Forum, Mohammad Jijjiwa noted that the creation of the emirate is not an act of rebellion or threat to the unity of Adamawa emirate.

“The creation of the Fufore Emirate is, not an act of rebellion or a threat to the unity of Adamawa Emirate. Rather, it is an overdue recognition of the strength and leadership within Fufore, an affirmation of our historical contributions, and an opportunity for balanced traditional governance,” he said.
He noted that the good people of Fufore are happy and proud with the creation of the emirate noting that it’s legitimacy will never be undermined despite the ongoing aversion and legal fireworks against the emirate.
“We stand before you today as the proud people of Fufore Emirate to set the record straight regarding the ongoing discussions and judicial contestations surrounding our newly created emirate.
“Let it be known that we, the people of Fufore, are happy and fully in support of our new Emirate under the leadership of His Royal Highness Alhaji Sani Ahmadu Ribadu. This moment is not a time for division, but a time to celebrate a historical recognition of our identity, heritage, and rightful place in the traditional structure of Adamawa State.
“A Story of Loyalty, not war, It is important to remind everyone that the Fufore kingmakers were never a product of war or conquest, our forefathers did not join the Adamawa Emirate out of subjugation but out of loyalty, respect, and shared governance.
“The kingmakers From DAWARE, MALABU, GURIN AND RIBADU in Fufore Local Government played their roles in Adamawa traditional leadership out of allegiance, not servitude.
“The creation of the Fufore Emirate is, therefore, not an act of rebellion or a threat to the unity of Adamawa Emirate. Rather, it is an overdue recognition of the strength and leadership within Fufore, an affirmation of our historical contributions, and an opportunity for balanced traditional governance.
“The People of Fufore Stand United and We reject any narrative that seeks to portray this development as a calculated move to weaken any ethnic group or traditional institution. The Fufore Emirate does not undermine the Adamawa Emirate but adds value to the rich cultural and administrative diversity of our great state.
“Let it be clear, the creation of the Fufore Emirate was not done in secrecy It was a result of due process and the recognition of our historical and cultural identity we respect the legal process, but we emphasize that the people of Fufore stand firmly behind this decision and support our new Emirate, we call for peace and unity among all groups in Adamawa State, as traditional leadership should serve as a symbol of harmony, not division.
“Our message to those outside Fufore who have expressed concerns, we assure you that Fufore remains committed to the peace and unity of Adamawa Stat our desire is to see traditional institutions flourish, not to diminish or destroy them.
“We encourage all stakeholders to embrace this new reality with open hearts, the strength of our state lies in its diversity, and the recognition of Fufore Emirate is a step forward, not backward.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, we reaffirm our unwavering support to His Royal Highness Alhaji Sani Ahmadu Ribadu and pledge to work towards the prosperity of our people and the continued unity of Fufore and Adamawa State at large,” he said.
