A repeat of APC deception on course, Hon Minakaro chides promoters of ADA
The National Secretary of the Arewa PDP Support Group, Hon. Desmond Minakaro, has raised concerns over the emerging All Democratic Alliance (ADA), describing it as a recycled political ploy orchestrated by the same individuals behind the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a strongly worded statement on Friday, Minakaro cautioned Nigerians against falling for what he called “another deceptive coalition,” warning that the new movement bears striking similarities to the APC, which was formed in 2013 as a merger of opposition parties and political interests.
“The same thing happened with APC. It came as a coalition, promising to end insecurity and improve the lives of Nigerians. Many people, out of greed and sentiment, fell for it. But what has APC brought? More insecurity and more hunger,” he said.

Minakaro argued that the architects of the new ADA coalition are largely the same political actors who left the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to form the APC.
According to him, their return in the guise of a new alliance is an insult to the intelligence of Nigerians who continue to suffer under broken promises.
“These are the same people who once proudly identified as PDP members. Now they call the PDP corrupt, unserious, and outdated, yet they still carry the party’s political DNA,” he stated.
He went further to suggest that Nigerians should metaphorically conduct a “political DNA test” on the individuals behind ADA, to determine whether they have truly shed the values and traits they now criticize.
Minakaro’s comments come amidst growing speculation over the formation of ADA, a new political coalition reportedly being considered as an alternative platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He urged Nigerians to be more discerning and resist falling into the same traps that led to the rise of the APC, saying the country cannot afford another political misadventure driven by recycled elites with no new vision.
“Nigerians must ask the hard questions. Are we not tired? Are we not wiser? If the same people keep rebranding themselves without accountability, what future are we building?” he queried.
