Southern Adamawa youths endorse Sen. Moallahyidi’s second comeback aspiration

Youth groups across Adamawa Southern Zone have thrown their weight behind former senator Ahmad Abubakar MoAllahyidi, urging him to contest for the senatorial seat representing the zone in the Red Chamber of the National Assembly.

The endorsement, which came during a stakeholders’ meeting in Numan, reflects growing momentum among young people within the Numan Federation who believe the former lawmaker possesses the experience and leadership capacity needed to reposition the zone for sustainable development.

Representatives of the youth groups, including Hans Fwah, Danladi Carpenter, and Ummul Shehu, described Moallahyidi as a tested and trusted leader whose previous tenure brought measurable progress to the area. According to them, his track record of initiating people-oriented programmes and sponsoring impactful legislation sets him apart as the most suitable candidate to address the socio-economic challenges confronting the Southern Zone.

They lamented what they termed the “lingering stagnation and underdevelopment” in the region, attributing it to inconsistent leadership and the abandonment of key projects initiated in the past. The youths stressed that a return of Moallahyidi to the Senate would ensure continuity, particularly in completing projects that have suffered neglect over the years.
“We believe Senator Moallahyidi remains the best choice to revive the hopes of our people. His leadership style, accessibility, and commitment to grassroots development are qualities that the Southern Zone urgently needs at this critical time,” the youth representatives stated.

They further emphasized that beyond political affiliation, their endorsement is driven by a collective desire to see the zone regain its footing in terms of infrastructure, education, and economic opportunities.

Responding to the development, a close associate of the former senator, Alhaji Abubakar Garba, commended the youths for what he described as a bold and forward-thinking initiative.

He noted that their call reflects the trust and confidence the younger generation has in Moallahyidi’s leadership.
Garba assured that the message would be conveyed to the former senator, adding that such overwhelming support from the grassroots is a strong indication of the people’s desire for experienced and result-oriented representation.

The youth groups also pledged their unwavering commitment to mobilizing support across communities within the Southern Zone to ensure Moallahyidi’s successful return to the Senate. They expressed optimism that with unity and determination, the zone can once again witness purposeful representation that prioritizes the welfare of the people.

As consultations and alignments gather pace ahead of the elections, all eyes will be on whether former Senator Moallahyidi Abubakar will heed the call to re-enter the race and chart a new course for Adamawa Southern Zone.
