Blackmailing Chubado won’t stop your imminent ouster in 2023, Ribadu tells PDP

The organizing secretary of the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Mustapha Atiku Ribadu has chided the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for being a bad loser adding that the cheap blackmail its hurling against the former chief of staff to governor Bala James Nggilari, Chubado Babbi Tijjani who recently defected to APC won’t stop the ouster of the party come 2023 general polls.

Ribadu who said PDP is currently fatigued by its myriads of infractions noted that the party is exhibiting the last kick of a dying horse adding that the desperation to remain relevant in the face of its self inflicted havoc, is making the party to behave erratically and thought that launching vile attacks on real and perceived enemies is its saving grace.

“The dying party felt that the only way to settle scores with Chubado against the backdrop of his defection to our party is to resort to cheap lies and blackmail against him.

“Saying that Chubado has ceased to be an active member of PDP for over ten years because he left the party today is a lie from the pit of hell. The same person Abdu Umaru Jabu, the party’s chairman in Madagali ward who without shame or compunction is trying to splash mud on Chubado for exercising his inalienable democratic right to chose where to belong to is the same person who acknowledged that Chubado was an active member of the party in the past when the relationship was chubby,” Ribadu said.

Chubado, a former chieftain of the ruling PDP from the same local government with governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri recently left the party due to alleged shabby treatment.

But at a press conference in Yola, the Madagali ward chairman of PDP Jabu alongside Adamawa State commissioner of land and survey, Muhammadu Umaru Madagali, said the defection of Chubado was a good riddance to bad rubbish as he has been working against the interest of the party for long noting that Chubado was a Janus faced traitor.
