2023: Elite think tank vows to secure millions of votes for Atiku in North East

An Adamawa elite think tank under the aegis of patriotic leaders, has vowed to secure millions of votes for the former vice president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar during the forthcoming presidential election come 2023.

Leader of the think tank, Barr. Danladi Danasabe who spoke to our reporter on the sidelines of a high powered stakeholders meeting of the group noted that the only way the north east could payback the former vice president for his immense contributions to the region is by massively electing him in 2023.

“We have seen how Katsina, Kano, Kaduna, Zamfara, Kebbi, Jigawa and Sokoto states honour their son president Muhammadu Buhari with millions of votes from each state.

“We felt that it is time for us to also honour our own son Atiku Abubakar with unprecedented support by contributing millions of votes to help him become the next president of Nigeria.

“We have put robust and solid structures in local governments across all the six states of the north east to engage the people directly in order to secure these votes for Atiku Abubakar,” he said.

Danasabe urged the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to in the spirit of democracy allow all interested candidates to contest the election noting that democracy can only thrive if the people are allowed to choose their leaders without recourse to ethnic, religious or geographical considerations.

“Nigeria has grown from strength to strength democratically. Since the coming of Nigeria as one nation, we never had a period where democracy thrives for over 20 years. This progress has made us to consolidate our grip on democracy.

“The exigencies that made us to adopt rotation of power in 1999 are no more tenable as Nigeria’s democratic destiny becomes more strengthened and assured. I call on all stakeholders to consider this valid point and allow all to freely partake in the contest,” Danasabe appealed.

The lawyer cum politician who noted the laudable contributions Atiku gave to the development of education, entrepreneurship, and businesses said Atiku remains the best president Nigeria is yet to have urging Nigerians to rally behind him as he is the only one out of the array that can bail Nigeria from its current economic and social malaise.
