Adamawa new CP of police, Sikiru Kayode Akande resumes duty

The newly posted commissioner of police in Adamawa State, Sikiru Kayode Akande has resumed duty in the state, a statement by the image maker of the state command, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje has disclosed.

According to the statement, Akande, a holder of Bsc in political science from the prestigious university of Benin, Edo State enrolled into the Nigeria police as cadet assistant superintendent of police (ASP) in 1990.

“He is a passionate, Versatile and experienced police officer who served in multiple units of Operational, investigative and administrative departments in this Nation. few among them include;

“Officer -in- Charge of Presidential/VIP Movement, State House, Abuja; Commissioner of police, Cross River State; Commissioner of police Information Communication Technology (ICT), Force Headquarters, Abuja.

“The CP therefore, assured the general public of his readiness in policing Adamawa state and he urged members of the public to continue supporting the police in order to achieve the desired result of securing lives and property,” the statement said.
