Adamawa NUJ felicitates with Fintiri, Muslim Ummah @ Eid-el Fitr

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Adamawa State council rejoices with the Executive Governor of the state, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, his Deputy, Chief Crowther Seth (Nzeanzo Bachama), members of the state Executive Council, Speaker and Honourable Members of the state House of Assembly, His Royal Highness, the Lamido of Adamawa, Alhaji Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, Traditional rulers and Chiefs, all local Government Chairmen and the good people of Adamawa State a happy Eid-el Fitr sallah celebration.

A statement jointly signed by Donald Dedan and Fidelis Jocthtan, chairman and secretary of the council respectively on Monday said the period of Ramadan fast is an intense spiritual reawakening and rejuvenation with a heightened focus on devotion, charity, teachings and patience.

The NUJ prayed that the lessons learnt during the Holy period should be sustained for peace, tolerance and harmonious coexistence in the state and the country at large.

“The prayers offered during the Holy month and beyond will also usher in a peaceful general elections in 2023 as well as subduing the insecurity bedevilling the nation including a bumper harvest as rainy season sets in.

“The NUJ while most sincerely joins our Muslim colleagues in the pen-profession in celebrating this auspicious sallah equally implored all it’s members to pray for an eventful and peaceful Council election coming up in month of June 2022,” the statement said.
