The Otumba Campaign Organisation has reacted to the press release issued by mischievous faces under the cover of Organised Labour in Adamawa State, led by one Emmanuel Fashe, suspected to be sponsored to discredit the governorship candidature of Alh Umar Mustapha Madawaki, a.k.a Otumba of Ekiti.
The organisation said the campaign of calumny that Otumba has since projected, hence has wished away as nothing but diversionary, calculated for distraction, would have been ignored as non issue, however, the misinformation and disinformation crudely and crookedly concocted, cooked and dished out to the public via social media would have to be straightened.
Labour Party, LP, is a registered political party, legitimised by INEC, which invalidated the submission of the Organised Labour as a registered association.
Umar Mustapha Madawaki, the Otumba of Ekiti was a gubernatorial aspirant who was by the delegates across the state, under the supervision of the national executives, unanimously endorsed as gubernatorial flagbearer ahead of the 2023 general elections and not one usurping the chairmanship of the Organized Labour at the state level.
Therefore, Otumba is not an impostor and the leadership of the Labour Party has not in anyway delegitimised his governorship ticket.
If Otumba has questionable character, typical of betrayal of financial trust to have warranted EFCC and court actions against him as mischievously, rather maliciously alleged, he would not have been cleared by the security agencies to participate in the party primary elections.
The allegation that Otumba has diverted and “misappropriated the contributions of workers for a mass housing project” is both a misinformation and a disinformation, suffices to say, obnoxious falsification of facts that the Organized Labour at the state level should compare note with its national level.
Therefore, the Organized Labour Adamawa State lacks any legitimate ground to disclaim Otumba and his governorship aspiration because the undersigned Organised Labour leaders are not registered members and/or leaders of the Labour Party at the state level:
