Adamawa NUJ felicitates with Muslims @ Eid-el-Kabir

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Adamawa State council has congratulated it’s members and the entire Muslim ummah on the occasion of this year’s EID-IL-KABIR.

A statement jointly signed by the chairman and secretary of the council, Ishaka Donald Dedan and Fidelis Jockthan said EID-IL-KABIR is a season that calls for rededication to the cause of mankind, appreciate the gift of life and to also imbibe the virtues of tolerance, understanding and good neighborliness.

“Such virtues of Prophet Ibrahim’s heart of sacrifice and faith in Allah should be demonstrated by not only Muslims but even the entire humanity so as to bring new hope to mankind and we as citizens of Adamawa State.

“The NUJ emphasized on this festival of sacrifice that the various gifts Muslims would present to their brothers alike is a symbol of kindness particularly to the less privileged.

“While doing it with love and laughter, the union prayed that the pious season will bring prosperity, joy and positivity to all Nigerians as the country passes through security and electoral challenges.
Let the season remind us to practice gratitude so that the Almighty Allah will continue to spur us with abundance blessings,” the statement said.
