~As Adamawa cordinator thanks Ribadu, Speaker for overwhelming support
As the 2023 presidential election gathers momentum, an All Progressives Congress (APC) support group for the actualization of Tinubu/Shettima presidential ticket under the aegis of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Foundation (ABATF) has unveiled its campaign office in Yola.
The event was attended by hundreds of enthusiastic party supporters and executives of the organization from the 21 local governments of the state who vowed to ensure the actualization of the Tinubu/Shettima presidency.
In his speech, Adamawa State coordinator of the ABATF, Sulaiman Yerima acknowledged the indomitable contributions of the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Malam Nuhu Ribadu for his moral guidance and fatherly role towards solidifying and strengthening the group in the state.
He also thanked a chieftain of the party, Abdullahi Musa who single handedly provided and office accomodation for the foundation and equipped it with the needed working tools.
“It is my great pleasure to express solidarity and loyalty to our national leader Malam Nuhu Ribadu for the role he has been playing in solidifying and encouraging this movement.
“In the same breadth, I must also thank our great benefactor and a chieftain of our great party, Abdullahi Musa Speaker for donating and equipping this office to the victory group.
“I also acknowledge the tremendous role being played by other leaders of this great movement in the state like Zakary Madayi, Uba Danarewa and other men and women of timbre and calibre too numerous to mention in this space.
“I will not also forget the numerous support groups and other political parties that have expressed interest and willingness to fuse into the ABATF for the success of this great journey.
“As at the last count, no fewer than 14 of such political parties and groups have approached us to be part of this moving train and we highly appreciate and welcome them into our fold.
“Let us intensify our resolve towards ensuring that we work 247 and cover every inch of Adamawa State to ensure the victory of this promising ticket,” he said.
In their separate remarks, some national leaders of the group including, Zakary Madayi and Uba Danarewa expressed optimism that despite having a presidential contender from the state, APC is the party to beat in Adamawa State and will ensure the victory of the ticket come 2023.
