A group under the aegis of “Go for the right candidates, not party candidates” (GCPC) in Adamawa State has put finishing touches to host a one million man march for the Senatorial Candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Dr. Abdullahi Dauda Belel.
Leader of the group, Hafiz Abba Jimeta said the rally is aimed at showcasing the acceptability and popularity of the senatorial candidate not only in Adamwa north but the state as a whole.
Jimeta noted that the group is bipartisan and will support candidates of political parties based on their popularity and acceptability to the masses but not inclined to a particular political party.
He revealed that the aim and objective of the group is to see that the right people are at the forefront holding leadership affairs of this country.
The leader said it’s on this basis that after thorough research and facts finding they discovered Dr. Abdullahi Dauda Belel, who is currently holding the ticket of the NNPP hoping to be the next Senator for the zone.
Hafiz called on Adamawa Northern voters to support Belel as the right candidate for them and GCPC is now part of the awareness group telling the people of Adamawa the right people they should elect in 2023.
Hafiz further said that the one million march will hold next month in Jimeta, the state capital, and Mubi with a message of voting for the right candidates, Dr. Belel happened to be one of them in the state to create awareness for in the coming month(september).
“The one million march is purely a Youth affair whose understand that there is a leadership defect in the state, especially those representing us in the national assembly, state assembly, and the entire political system.
” We need to stand up and support those who will save us and safe our future, our future is bleak, we have a dark tomorrow with an overwhelming grip of fears that it will not give birth to something good for us. This is one of the reasons we are going to wake up from our sleeping and endorse competency and credibility as basic requirements for those willing to be our leaders.
“Our research team a month ago have been in the search for better candidates across Adamawa state, and Belel was the first to be discovered as a worthy leader we can lend our voices and support for the 2023 elections.
” Next month is going to be a Match for Belel, by October our researchers will come out with a tentative name of others that we can match for them,” Hafiz said
He also said that the group is not just having a membership strength of over six hundred members, but are members with their PVC.
“One of the basic requirements of joining GCPC Is your authenticated PVCs, without this no entry for you.” He said.
