Adamawa based politician, Barr. Danladi Danasabe has expressed happiness over the conferment of Niger’s highest civilian honour on Buhari’s aide on household and domestic affairs, Sarki Abba.
The politician noted that the people of Adamawa State are particularly proud of the momentous feats recorded by Sarki since his sojourn into the presidency culminating into the latest award by the government and people of Niger Republic.
It may be recalled that the president of Niger Republic, Mohamed Bazoum has recently conferred six Nigerians with the Niger’s highest award to civilians for fostering bilateral relations between the two nations and for acting as good ambassadors of Nigeria.
They are President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide on Household and Domestic Affairs Sarki Abba, head of protocol Lawal Kazaure, Businessmen Aliko Dangote and Abdulsamad Rabi’u and Governors Badaru Abubakar and Mohammed Bello Matawalle of Jigawa and Zamfara states.
The six men were awarded the “Order of Merit of Niger’’ and “Great Master of National Awards’’ in a ceremony presided by Niger President Mohammed Bazoum to mark the West African country’s 62nd independence anniversary.
Barrister Danasabe noted that it gives him a great sense of personal joy to be associated with someone in Sarki’s feat and accomplishments adding that the monumental personal accomplishments and milestones he achieved portrayed Jimeta and Adamawa State in good light.
“I must say with all sense of modesty that Abba Sarki has in no small measure done the people of Jimeta and Adamawa state proud since his sojourn into the presidency following his momentous and unrivalled accomplishments.
“Through an unparalleled commitment to duty, unrivalled patriotism, and unprecedented loyalty to his principal, he has won hearts and set new records and broke old ones in a rare feat of administrative excellence.
“I’m therefore not surprised that our own Abba Sarki has joined the league of very powerful Nigerians including the richest blackman on earth, Aliko Dangote in bagging this meritorious award.
“It is said that a prophet is usually not celebrated in his homestead but the saying did not come true with our own Abba as he is highly celebrated, respected and revered in his home state on account of what he has done and still doing for the people.
“I wish to also congratulate the presidency, the good people of Adamawa for being lucky to have a good ambassador and family and friends of this rare gem. With Abba in tow I believe the latest award is just an icing on the cake,” Danladi said.
