My attention was drawn to a malicious dig and verbal diarrhea full of fury, false anecdotes and deliberate distortions of facts on ground by the Director General of Binani guvernorship campaign council, Sen Ahmed Barata aimed at not only whipping up sentiments and pent up anger in our dear party but with a clear intent to rock the boat of the party in the state.
The statement to me represent a last ditch effort by Binani and her desperate comrades to cause a seismic implosion in APC through mischief, misinformation and falsehoods following the vexatious court verdict which rendered our party procumbent.
That statement is archetypal to a tale told by an idiot full of fury but signifying nothing order than exposing the militant posture of the Binani team against the honourable path of exhausting the legal path of resolving the issue by resorting to self help.
It will be apt to tell Binani with all seriousness that throwing mud at the party and its officials is an unwieldy and unhelpful path to regaining her mandate.
The recent verbal onslaught against the party and its officials clearly expose the I’ll intentions of Sen Aishatu Dahiru Binani who in the wake of the court verdict promised to explore the path of peace and litigation to reclaim her mandate.
It is the hight of subterfuge and double standards unbecoming of someone who seeks to lead a state to now come through the backdoor to launch a desperate attack on the party on whose crest she want to ride to power. Such desperation and “spoiler show” surely derobes Binani of the vaulting image and democratic credentials she has been flaunting in the state.
It is actually nerve rending for Binani to in one breath says she is ready to take the path of peace and in another, resort to self help by starting a proxy war against the party. That clearly portrays a desperate and frustrated mind.
In a move that is utterly contemptuous to court processes, Binani has lately been bankrolling street rallies and protests, apparently to twist the arms of the law. Unfortunately for her, she does not know such odious antics only makes her case bad before the law courts.
It is disturbing that Binani has recently became a smoking gun firing real and perceived enemies with the thinking that such crude and primitive recourse and media hype will give her an edge and the much victory she needed. Although Binani may have the luxury of throwing money in getting a rented crowd or hatchet writers but I assure her she won’t have such luxury with the courts.
The attempt of Binani to make a blanket accusation on the party executives as being partisan by supporting a particular aspirant fell flatly on its face as her rambling is not supported by any tangible fact.
Can anyone in a sober state of mind contemplate making such a general accusation against all the state exco amongst whom are staunch Binani loyalists and apologists? I’m beginning to be uncomfortable with Binani’s strange actions and wish to advise those close by to examine her state of mind because political desperation can be so deleterious.
Gleaning through the barrage of unsubstantiated allegations Binani made through Barata, one cannot help but laugh at the capacity of Binani to throw childish banters when serious issues are at stake.
Is it not a folly for Binani to impute that the recent consultations embarked by the state party executives to come together as one force to reclaim our mandate as a shame? Unless if the word shame has lost its meaning I wonder how a move to salvage our precarious situation could be misinterpreted as a shame but as I said earlier, Binani’s state of health needs to be examined.
For the sake of clarity, it will be apt to tell Binani that in the aftermath of the court verdict, the exco of our great party convened a meeting where the issue was extensively deliberated. After the meeting, the exco convened a press conference where the party told the general public that it will appeal the “harsh” judgement.
The party called on all its members and followers to remain calm and law abiding while it squarely faced the litigation. Particularly, the party urged the two litigants, Mal Nuhu Ribadu and Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani to appeal to their supporters to remain calm and law abiding.
The party exco deemed it fit to rally round stakeholders living in Abuja with the aim of enlisting their support for success at the appellate court. It is on record that during the party consultations, the exco avoided both Mal. Nuhu Ribadu and Sen. Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani so as to maintain neutrality in the matter. It is therefore surprising that despite all that, some unpatriotic party members are trying all their best to cast a slur on the party. Do they really meant well for us?
But as party a political party desirous of having a candidate, we the patriotic members of the party will go the whole hug to ensure our party participates in the election regardless of the blackmail of traducers who must rock the ship of the party if their self inflicted ego is not massaged. On this pledge we stand.
